Everyone in the world knows I LOVE Elin Hilderbrand. She is one of my favorite beach read authors EVER! She has inspired my pilgrimage to Nantucket next summer (do I say I am going to Nantucket next summer every year? Maybe!!)
On a gorgeous June day, Vivian Howe, queen of the beach read and mother of three nearly grown children, is killed in a hit-and-run car accident while jogging near her home on Nantucket. She ascends to the Beyond, where she's allowed to watch what happens below for one last summer. Vivi is also granted three “nudges” to change the outcome of events on Earth.
I loved returning to the Nantucket beach and adding in a little whodunit to this gorgeous escape, making this a real treat.
If this is Elin’s way of saying she is retiring soon…. I am not well.
Best paired with Casa Dragones, which the characters in the book can’t stop talking about!
