Malibu Rising
Malibu Rising
Taylor Jenkins Reid
my review : ✮✮✮✮
If you asked me what you should read this summer, this is it.
This book is set in Malibu in 1983, it’s the night of the Riva family’s famous end-of-summer party, and everyone who is anyone is going to be there. The Rivas are not your average family; one sister is a supermodel, one brother is a famous surfer, while the other is a renowned photographer, and the youngest sister is a pretty impressive surfer in her own right. Oh, and their father is legendary singer Mick Riva. This book follows the life of this fascinating family, I laughed and cried like I do with any Taylor Jenkins Reid book.
I don’t make the rules, but you must enjoy this book with a cold glass of rosé. @miraval is my favorite because I imagine Nina Riva sipping a glass herself while preparing for this party.
you’ll love this book if you love:

my favorite quote:
“She had to choose what, of the things she inherited from the people who came before her, she wanted to bring forward. And what, of the past, she wanted to leave behind.”
