The Love Season

The Love Season

Elin Hilderbrand

my review : ✮✮✮

In my opinion, Elin is one of the most satisfying storytellers ever.

I’ve gushed about her depictions of food, and her sense of place is unparalleled. One of the sweetest ways to spend a summer day is with one of her paperbacks in hand.

This story follows Renata, a 19-year-old woman who has returned to Nantucket with her fiancé to meet his family and learn more about her late mother from her estranged godmother.

The food was mouth watering, the characters were flawed in the best way, and the way the story was told over 24 hours was uniquely entertaining. I find more joy in the small things, a really good meal, the wind on my face during a walk, a soft blanket, after reading an Elin book. Her writing makes me luxuriate in the little things.

I have so many favorite Elin books that this wouldn’t make my top 10, but nonetheless I enjoyed my time with it!

you’ll love this book if you love:
