my review : ✮✮✮✮
This book had me like this: 😭 😂 😏😍😋😪😭😢 (in no particular order)
This is a book that made me laugh and cry, which is really a feat for a romance! The banter is superb, the heroine is everything you want in a BFF, and the dude is a firefighter (come on, we love that!! 🔥)!
There is some tough content in here as the main character finds out she can’t have kids (not a spoiler in the synopsis), so no matter what your situation is, proceed with caution. This book is not a frivolous one, and I don’t want you taken by surprise!
Kristen finds out she has to undergo surgery that will make it impossible for her to have children.... enter dreamboat Josh, who wants to have a baseball team roster of kids one day. Kristen wants to keep her secret to herself and keep Josh at arm's length, but that’s tough when he is so damn lovable.... and handsome.
I find reading books about this subject very tough, but I found this to be approached with good intentions, if not always hitting the mark (this is all I can say without spoilers, but looking up TW’s is a good idea). I encourage you to read the note from the author after you finish this one.
I think this book is best paired with a gin and tonic.
Read it and tell me what you think! After looking at Goodreads, it appears people are torn on this one!

my favorite quote:
“I’d found my person. She was the foundation. She was the thing that all other things are built on. Everything was secondary to being with her. It didn’t matter where I worked or if I liked my job, where I lived or how many kids I had. My happiness, my sanity, my well-being – it all started with her. And now that I knew that, I didn’t want to just be her boyfriend – I wanted everything.”
