The Night We Met

The Night We Met

Abby Jimenez

my review : ✮✮

I so badly wanted to love this, but it was just not for me!

I can totally do a more heavy and emotional romance (see my review for The Best Worst Thing!).

I am fine with a story that’s less of a big romance and more of a sloooow burn, where romance isn’t at the forefront (see my review for Once and Again).

I am even totally fine with a love triangle (see my review for Maybe Once, Maybe Twice and Conform!).

All of those things, when done well, I love. Unfortunately, when it came to this book, it missed the mark for me!

Abby Jimenez is very skilled at writing a love story about a relationship that feels real, with leading men who make you appreciate your dependable husband (vs. a B.R.A.D. that makes you look at him and wonder when the last time he told you he would burn the world down for you). But this one just didn’t give me butterflies, and I wasn’t overly invested in the story.

I will continue to read everything Abby writes! So many BR&B readers loved this, so don’t just take my word for it. Read other reviews, like the 96K Goodreads reviews that are giving this book 4.16 stars! This might be for you!
