The Thursday Murder Club
The Thursday Murder Club

my review : ✮✮✮✮
What a charming, clever story! Why did it take me so long to pick this up!? If you’re like me and this book has been languishing on your TBR, rectify that immediately!
This is a story about a care home in England and a group of septuagenarians who have come together to form the Thursday Murder Club. They all come from various impressive backgrounds and have decided to spend Thursdays using their strengths to investigate unsolved murders. Imagine their surprise and delight when a murder actually happens in their small town!
There’s a ton of characters and threads to keep organized, but I thought the author did a great job of making sure the reader could keep everything straight. I was charmed by this book and a bit surprised by how emotional I was finishing it! Heartwarming and heartbreaking at times, a true delight.
A rich cast of characters and incredibly well-done storytelling, I just loved this! It’s book one in a five-book series, and you can bet I will be reading the entire series! If you’ve watched the show, fill me in! Is it worth the watch?
Best paired with a strong cup of tea (feel free to skip the tea and drink some sherry instead) and a slice of cake. In the spirit of the season, I made @livingwithlandyn’s pumpkin dream cake, the perfect afternoon treat to share with your friends and law enforcement as you track down a murderer. I think Joyce would agree!
