Never have I been so excited to be done with a book!

Don’t let the cover or the fact that the leading woman is an influencer fool you like it did me. (As soon as I heard “Influencer who wants to renovate her house for Instagram,” I thought, “How bad could it be?!”… BAD 😱). This book is HORRIFYING! But somehow, the writing, family drama, and our leading lady kept me reading!

Clio grew up in what her mother claimed was a haunted house, but she and her sisters moved out at such a young age that she doesn’t have any memory of it. When her mom passes away, and the house is bequeathed to the girls, Clio, a popular influencer, decides that remodeling the old house would make unbelievable content.

If you want a book that feels just like watching a horror movie, pick this up immediately! If your threshold for scary is low but you think to yourself, “But Katie read it and enjoyed it, so it can’t be that bad,” STOP! This was a fluke! To the seasoned spooky reader, I’m not sure how this rates on the spooky scale. Do spooky reviews give ghosts instead of chili peppers? If that’s the case, I’m giving this 5 ghosts. Best paired with a black magic margarita! This is just a margarita with black food dye!! Sprinkle some gold edible glitter to kick it up a notch!
