Something Wilder
Something Wilder
Christina Lauren
my review : ✮✮✮✮
The queens of the romance novel are back… this time with something a bit different, yet still fabulous.
Lily Wilder is the daughter of the famous treasure hunter Duke Wilder. While Duke spent his life traversing the great outdoors in search of adventure and treasure, his daughter was often left without a father figure and grew to resent the treasure hunting of it all. With her dad now passed and Lily with no money in the bank, she guides tourists on gimmicky “treasure hunts” to pay the bills. Imagine her surprise when her latest group shows up, and one of the tourists is her ex-boyfriend and love of her life, who she hasn’t seen in 10 years. When the treasure hunt gets underway, and things go horribly wrong, Lily realizes maybe the elusive treasure her dad spent his life looking for is out there… and she can find it.
Part adventure, part romance, this story is a fun, sexy, and wild (see what I did there!) ride. Lily is the strong and badass heroine I love, and Leo is a total dreamboat. And of course, Christina Lauren is not going to write a camping scene where the love interests DON’T have to share a single tent!!!!
If you liked The Lost City (the movie!), you’ll adore this romantic adventure.
Best paired with a cold beer, my personal favorite is a Corona and lime 🍺
