This book was hard not to finish in one sitting.
This story starts with the abrupt end of a marriage, and from there, the author unravels her relationship with her husband of 20 years to try to make sense of the dissolution of their marriage.
The premise of the book sucks you in right away. The excellent writing makes putting it down an impossibility, and the world of extreme wealth in which it is set makes it almost feel like you’re reading fiction.
Heartbreaking, fascinating, and maddening. An excellent memoir! I’ve heard the audio is great.
Everyone is talking about this book for good reason. The premise gives you so much to discuss, and the pacing is so excellent that it is easy to get into for even the most reluctant reader. A great bookclub pick!
