The Good Part
The Good Part

my review : ✮✮✮
What a unique and enjoyable premise for a book. I finished this with (happy) tears in my eyes!
Lucy has hit a bit of a rough patch. Her career feels like it’s stalling, her dating life leaves much to be desired, and her best friend is moving out of their gross flat, leaving Lucy with their two eccentric roommates and a flooded apartment. During one particularly lackluster evening, Lucy finds herself seeking refuge from a rainstorm at a corner store, where she spots a wishing machine. Intrigued, she wishes to skip to the good part of her life. The next morning, she wakes up hungover in a beautiful house with a gorgeous husband and two adorable children. Lucy has skipped to the good part, but is it all it’s cracked up to be?
It’s a charming story that makes you both laugh out loud and stop and think. Makes you want to squeeze your friends, family, and younger self tight.
