Christmas Shopaholic

Christmas Shopaholic

Sophie Kinsella

my review : ✮✮✮✮

I had SO much fun reading this book.

Becky Brandon LOVES Christmas except this year SHE’S tasked with hosting the party! Her family and friends have endless demands, and Becky is trying to throw the most over-the-top, perfect Christmas party ever. Yes, Becky gets herself in more precarious situations than any woman possibly could- but that’s the joy of fiction!

I laughed out loud throughout this book, and to me, that is the greatest joy a book can provide. Also, I was deeply disturbed by how similar I am to Becky Brandon (neé Bloomwood), not her good and redeeming qualities, but her shopaholic qualities!!!

I found this story totally charming and heartwarming. A feel-good book.

This is a series, but I read it as a standalone!

Best paired with a spiked hot chocolate (I spike mine with Baileys)

my favorite quote:

“This is Christmas,” he says, pointing at the happy line of Whos. “Remember? Friends and family gathered together, celebrating. Not presents, not piñatas, people.” “I know, but—” “Whatever the Grinch can steal, that’s not Christmas,” asserts Luke.”.\
