The Christmas Appeal

The Christmas Appeal

Janice Hallett

my review : ✮✮✮

A short & funny holiday mystery written in a super unique way. Paging through this is an entertaining way to spend a snowy afternoon.

This book is a follow-up to The Appeal, but can be read standalone. The story once again follows The Fairway Players, an amateur theatre group who take their jobs very seriously as they prepare for their upcoming Christmas show. This group is chock full of drama, and that’s before the dead Santa reveals himself! Join the lawyers that are poring through Christmas letters, emails, police transcripts, and texts to discern who the victim and the killer is.

Don’t let the dead Santa fool you, there’s nothing spooky about this mystery! Overall, it was a like not a love for me! Not enough holiday cheer! But I do love how this whole story is composed of emails, texts, and letters. So fun to be a sleuth!
