This book came highly recommended by so many of you, and I can see why! Set in the coziest, most festive cabin in North Carolina, I was smitten with this story from the beginning.

We meet Bee as she’s having a rough week/month/year? She has just been passed up for a promotion, split up with some loser dude, and her car has officially broken down. She is dying to see her family up at their cabin, get into the Christmas spirit, and avoid reality until the new year. Bee’s hopes of a relaxing and drama-free vacation are squashed when she learns that her brother is bringing his friend to their cabin for the week… and this friend happens to be Bee’s ex-boyfriend, Eli. Bee is rattled, her brother is confused, and her family is ready to embrace Eli and get the Christmas celebrations started. Bee has to get to the bottom of what the hell Eli is doing at her cozy cabin, all while trying to keep her heart intact.

This story is what I want in a holiday romance! Endless holiday-themed activities & sexual tension! This story had more depth than I was expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the cast of characters in this family and was craving a rustic cabin getaway of my own.

This is the kind of book that leaves you thinking: “Is eggnog actually good, and I’ve been avoiding it for years for no reason”? The characters seem to love it, and I was craving it by the end. If you’re able to indulge, I think it would make the perfect pairing.

I would call this a BRAD-light, not a ton of spice, but enough to keep you intrigued. But what is really insane to me is that this author wrote the Ravenhood series, which is an ADVANCED BRAD!!!! This woman has range!!!
