Rainbow Rowell
my review : ✮✮✮✮
Hi, I’m smitten with this quirky romance.
This story is about Lincoln O’Neil, an internet security officer at the local newspaper whose job is to read all of the flagged company emails to see if anyone is breaking rules. Lincoln works the night shift and HATES his job… that is, until emails from Beth & Jennifer (coworkers and BFFs) are flagged and he cannot stop reading the funny exchanges between the two women. When Lincoln realizes he’s developing feelings for one of them, it’s too late to introduce himself!
I understand the premise is a bit… Unorthodox? Creepy? But when you’re reading this story, all that is kind of forgotten & forgiven.
I love how this story is written. We read the entire story from Lincoln’s point of view and only get to know Beth and Jennifer through their email exchanges. I LOVED IT!
Best paired with a lager - these people freaking love drinking lagers. May I suggest the Goldfinger Lager? It’s brewed right by where I grew up!

my favorite quote:
“I’d know you in the dark,” he said. “From a thousand miles away. There’s nothing you could become that I haven’t already fallen in love with.”
