Last Night Was Fun
Last Night Was Fun

my review : ✮✮✮
What a fun concept! When a guy gets “wrong numbered” at a bar (meaning the girl he was chatting with gives him a fake number), he ends up texting “last night was fun” to Emmy Jameson.
Emmy receives the text, and she’s confused: last night was most definitely *not* fun for her. Once they sort out the confusion about the fake number, they continue chatting and realize they actually love texting with each other. Emmy is a data analyst for a professional baseball team and one of the only women in what’s basically a boys’ club. Her archnemesis at work, Gabe Olson, is up for the same promotion as she is, so Mr. Wrong Number couldn’t have come at a better time. She certainly needs a distraction from all the stress. Oh, and she needs a date for her sister’s wedding!
This story was sweet and surprisingly a bit steamy! The premise was entertaining, and I liked learning about the surprisingly fascinating world of professional baseball statistics. I also discovered that I enjoy a leading man who blushes sometimes! Who knew!
This book is best paired with a piña colada, since my mouth was watering as our leading lady slurped them at her sister’s welcome party in Cancún.
