Ripley is a brilliant scientist who has left the academic world of fossil finding and is instead on the commercial side, finding fossils to sell to the highest bidder. She’s on the cusp of a career-making find when James, a hot Oxford professor who’s mega-famous in the Dino world, shows up to tell her a new fossil that’s the talk of the town might be a fraud. And it was “found” by none other than her ex, who basically ruined her life. He needs her help debunking the bones, and she needs his help getting funding for her dig!

My 3.5-year-old is onto something with his dinosaur obsession: Fossils are fascinating! I thought this was cute, different, and fun. A definite slow burn for fans of Ali Hazelwood. Felt a little long in the middle, but I think I am just having an exhausting week and couldn’t keep my eyes open!
