The Ex Talk
The Ex Talk
Rachel Lynn Solomon
my review : ✮✮✮
This book is one of those books where, as the reader, you KNOW the guy is totally obsessed with the girl and the girl is always jumping to the most negative conclusions (ie, guy tells someone “I am interested in someone” girl is convinced there’s another woman in his life… like HUNNY IT IS YOU! How much time do we think these men have to be dating everyone and their mother??) For whatever reason, this drove me nuts during this book. The banter is cute, there is a decent amount of steam, but the amount of miscommunication truly drove me to my wits’ end.
All that to say, this is a sweet and funny quick read. I have a whole new appreciation for public radio 📻, and I did end this book wanting to start my own podcast.
Have you read this? Am I being terribly cynical? You know me, I love a romcom!!!! Does every enemies-to-lovers pale in comparison to The Hating Game?
The more red wine I drank, the more I got butterflies from this book. So grab your favorite Pinot and *glug glug glug*!!
you’ll love this book if you love:

my favorite quote:
“If I kissed you again, it wouldn’t be for the show, or for research, or for any reason other than that I wanted to. I’d want to remember every detail. The way you taste. The way you smell. The sounds you’d make.”
