Dolly All the Time

Dolly All the Time

Annabel Monaghan

my review : ✮✮✮✮✮

When you’re reading a book and you constantly catch yourself grinning, it’s five stars.

This book was so fun to read. It’s the kind of love story I want to read every single day!

Dolly’s home for the summer and taking care of everything, like always. Back in the seaside town of Whitfield, named after the uber wealthy and celebrity-adjacent Whitfield family, she’s working at her dad’s fish house for the summer. After a fish delivery at the Whitfield estate ends with the oldest brother needing help with a flat tire, Dolly comes to the rescue. When a photo of the two of them ends up in Page Six, he asks her for a favor: would she be his fake girlfriend for the summer? He’s willing to pay, and she’s willing to put up with this crazy scheme to get a new roof for her dad’s house. What could go wrong?

The premise was just downright fun, the setting was a summer dream, and the love story was delicious.

I find that Annabel’s books not only make you swoon, but they amp up your joie de vivre when you’re done... and really, what more do you want in your books?

I asked the author for her drink pairing, and she said Champagne (and shared that the original title for this book was Champagne Summer!!), so pour a flute and get lost in this love story!

you’ll love this book if you love:

  • Carley Fortune

  • Books set in Rhode Island
