In Your Dreams
In Your Dreams
Sarah Adams
my review : ✮✮✮✮
My final trip to Rome, Kentucky, was such a DREAM! Revisiting this town and these characters is like pulling on your favorite sweatshirt, comforting, cozy, and a little hot (if it’s hot outside and your sweatshirt is a little thick, have I taken this metaphor too far?!). This book is a heartfelt and sweet small-town romance.
Maddie, the youngest Walker sibling, is returning home to Rome, Kentucky. She feels like a failure because while she technically graduated from culinary school, she doesn’t feel like she deserves the title of chef. While she feels like she should try to hack it in NYC (despite not loving the city), an opportunity falls in her lap that she cannot refuse. Her small town is opening a restaurant and wants her to be the head chef. The restaurant is owned by none other than her brother’s best friend, who is a total dreamboat, but Maddie is not going to let that distract her!
A leading man who works on a farm is 6’4, and is sweet as puddin’. What’s not to love!
I am pairing this book with a dragon fruit lemonade because I was sipping one while reading it, and it’s almost as sweet as this story! Swipe for the recipe!
P.S. This song was Sarah’s answer in my Cake with Katie interview when a subscriber asked her what Taylor Swift song was the vibe for this book!
