The Guncle Abroad

The Guncle Abroad

my review : ✮✮✮

I LOVED The Guncle and was so excited to catch up with Patrick, Maisie, and Grant again in this sequel! I wanted something light & fun, and The Guncle Abroad fit the bill. Be sure to read The Guncle before picking this one up; it’s life-affirming and so well done!

In The Guncle Abroad, we revisit Gay Uncle Patrick (GUP: a nickname given to him by his niece and nephew years ago that he’s grown to embrace) and his darling niece and nephew, Maisie and Grant. The trio is reunited in Paris, where their European adventure kicks off, ending in Italy, where Maisie & Grant’s dad is getting married(!!)! Maisie and Grant have a LOT of feelings about getting a stepmother, and Patrick is doing his best to show them the beauty of their dad finding love after loss.

I had so much fun revisiting these characters. I am utterly charmed by Maisie & Grant, and I love Patrick’s signature style of humor. A fun read that I recommend if you loved The Guncle!

Best paired with an ice-cold gimlet!
