Then She Was Gone

Then She Was Gone

Lisa Jewell

my review : ✮✮✮✮

A very dark, disturbing, and suspenseful thriller. Kept me up all night, a literal page turner. This story is about a grieving mother whose daughter disappeared 10 years ago, and no one can figure out what happened to her. The mom starts dating a new man, and once she meets his daughter, she can’t believe how much the little girl reminds her of her missing daughter. Um yes... insanity ensues.

Best paired with a rainy evening and your favorite Pinot Noir.

my favorite quote:

“May was like the Friday night of summer: all the good times lying ahead of you, bright and shiny and waiting to be lived.”
