This book is a powerful and disturbing commentary on gentrification and how terribly the black community has been treated.

I was so impressed with how the author weaved historical facts through this book and made it so entertaining yet emotionally hard to read.

Less thriller and more social commentary. I learned a ton and had a hard time distinguishing fiction from non-fiction.

Informative, frustrating, scary, disturbing, and keeps you hooked throughout.
