my review : ✮✮✮✮
A fresh & unexpected take on a romance novel. This book does not fit squarely in the romance book genre, and I honestly found that to be surprisingly delightful.
Our story follows three very different women who have one thing in common: they were all stood up on Valentine’s Day by the SAME man. This blowoff sets off a series of events in each woman’s life that will tug your heartstrings. Once they've forgiven him for standing them up, they let him back into their lives and are in serious danger of falling in love with him… So many unexpected highs and lows make up this incredibly satisfying and lovely story.
I truly enjoyed how this love story kept me on my toes. Also, I was so pleasantly surprised to read about three female protagonists! What a treat. This story may be a bit slow to start, but I found it incredibly fun and enthralling once the pace picked up. Stick with it.
If you’re reading this, are you as smitten with Miranda’s twin sisters as I am? I just adored them!
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, this is best paired with a cold glass of Schramsberg Sparkling Rosé, a delicious drink that won’t stand you up!
