my review : ✮✮

This book is supposed to be The Honeymooners meets The Hating Game- two books I’m obsessed with and HIGHLY recommend.

Honestly, it did not live up to the hype. The enemies-to-lovers felt a little forced, and overall, the book was just... corny? For the record, I love corny books and romance in every form... hello, this is an account dedicated to beach reads!!

I feel bad for the scathing review, and maybe this book is the victim of high expectations, but I have about 12 romance books I’d recommend before this one.

Judging by Goodreads, I am in the minority... have you read this? What do you think?

my favorite quote:

“The most genuine, soul-stirring smile forms and his entire aspect brightens when his eyes meet mine. My steps falter. No one’s ever looked at me like that before—like I’m the sunrise after a long winter’s night. Or the first present on Christmas morning. It’s a look you see in movies, and from Graeme, it’s devastating.”
