The Other Side of Disappearing
The Other Side of Disappearing

my review : ✮✮
This was a well-written love story that sadly didn’t give me butterflies! That’s it! That’s how scientific my romance ratings are. I wasn’t going gaga over our leads, but I thought the story was unique and well told.
Jess has been raising her 12-year-old younger half-sister ever since her mother left them 10 years ago. Jess’s life is defined by keeping her sister safe and protecting their little family unit from her mom’s vanishing act. But when true crime podcast producers come knocking, thanks to the secret meddling of her sister, Jess’ carefully constructed world comes tumbling down. Especially when one of those podcast producers is tall, dark, handsome, and kind. Jess, her sister, and the podcast team embark on a road trip across the country to find out where her mom is and why she left.
This is a genre-defying story, part mystery and part romance. Honestly, it just took me a long time to get into it. Like, even at the end of the book, I was still trying to get into it.
Not bad, just not for me! Have you read this? What are your thoughts?
